Reconnect in the Texas Hill Country
With nature, and each other
Craving an Escape from the City with Family, and Friends?
Or just wanting a great base to explore all the wineries, hiking and shopping in the Texas Hill Country? You'll find a quintessential hill country experience at historic, 6-acre Rancho de Vida outside of Johnson City, Texas. An hour southwest of Austin and 60 minutes north of San Antonio, it’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature, and each other.
Pickleball Anyone?
The Quonset hut makes for a great covered and lighted pickleball court! Paddles up!
Built in 1906, this farm homestead has been lovingly renovated and burnished into a wonderful gathering place for friends & family. It's Texas Hill Country meets Marfa in the shadow of a 400-year-old oak, with a modern “stock tank” pool, covered and lighted pickleball court, and 20-mile hilltop views.
Lots of Room
in This Inn
The farmhouse sleeps up to seven people comfortably. Need more room? Add our bunkhouse that accommodates another nine. It’s like camp, only better! Rancho de Vida has hosted family reunions, weddings, bachelorette parties, birthday and anniversary celebrations, and yoga retreats.
Well, Hello Nature
Dine under the canopy of the lighted oak, enjoy a campfire and gaze at million stars. Hike the property's bluffs and creek beds, float in the seasonal limestone bottom creek or pool. Chat it up with our resident animals---longhorns Waylon and Willie. Drink in the sunshine from a hammock or cycle the quiet backroads. There’s so much to explore and do on the property’s 68 acres and beyond.
Our stay was absolutely perfect! The house is so neat! I felt like every time I looked at a wall or shelf, I found something new and interesting. Plus, the property is GORGEOUS! I highly recommend walking up to the hill to the sitting area. The views are breathtaking! We comfortably slept 15 for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. Overall, a great weekend with friends!
